GAME 1 | UT Martin 4, Lindenwood 2
MARTIN, TENN. --The Lindenwood Lions took a 2-1 lead into the sixth inning, but could not hang on and fell 4-2 to the UT Martin Skyhawks Sunday.
Senior Amanda Weyh (5-10) got the ball to start for Lindenwood (13-26, 5-11) and took the loss. The right-hander went six innings, giving up four runs, one earned, on four hits, allowing one walk and striking out four.
Offensively, the Lions were led by sophomore Mya Bethany, who went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI. Junior Theresa Snaidauf furnished a noteworthy performance as well, going 2-for-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the top of the first inning. Lindenwood got an RBI single from Bethany, scoring Snaidauf from third base.
After the Skyhawks rallied to tie the ballgame at one, the Lions came back to retake the lead in the fifth inning. Lindenwood scored once on an RBI single off the bat of Bethany, which brought the score to 2-1 in favor of the Lions. The Lions were unable to hold the lead, as UT Martin scored three times over the remaining two innings to grab the 4-2 win.

MARTIN, TENN. --The Lindenwood Lions were not able to notch a run against UT Martin pitcher junior Katie Dreiling on Sunday and were shut out 9-0 by the Skyhawks.
Senior Keighlan Cronin (3-8) started and took the loss in the circle for Lindenwood (13-27, 5-12).
At the plate, the Lions were led by freshman Tori Hatton, who went 2-for-2 on the day with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindenwood did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Lions went 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the first, when Hatton made it into scoring position with two outs.
