The No. 4 Lindenwood wrestling team competed in its final regular season open tournament on Saturday at the Missouri Valley Open. Twelve different Lions placed including two taking home championships.

The Lindenwood men's ice hockey team saw its eight game winning streak against rival Illinois snapped Saturday afternoon, falling 4-3 in an overtime shootout. The loss handed the Lions their fourth defeat in conference play, and leaves the conference title up for grabs in the final weeks of the season.

The No. 9 Lindenwood women’s lacrosse team lived up to its preseason billing in its season opener. The Lady Lions jumped out to a 13-3 halftime lead over Tennessee Wesleyan and finished with a 17-3 victory.

The Lindenwood synchronized swimming squad finished third out of four teams on Saturday at the Canisius Invitational. The team narrowly missed a runner-up finish as it scored 66 points, just two shy of second-place.

Brett Thompson
Men's Basketball
Brett Thompson averaged a double-double for the week with 13.5 points and 13.5 rebounds a game. He shot 65 percent from two-point range in the two games and his defense resulted in three blocks versus Evangel and he helped hold Benedictine to 32.8 percent shooting from the field. In the win over Benedictine, Thompson had season-highs with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
Devah Leenheer
Synchronized Swimming

Devah Leenheer led the Lindenwood synchronized swimming to a third-place finish at the Canisius Invitational. She finished third in the solo competition and teammed up with Bethany Burton to be second in the duet event.
