It was announced on Wednesday evening that Lindenwood women's hockey freshman defender
Courtney Ganske was selected to the 2016-17 CHA All-Rookie Team. Ganske received the honor at the annual conference banquet held before the start of the CHA tournament tomorrow afternoon.
During her freshman season, Ganske dressed in 29 games for Lindenwood, and was the top-scoring defender on the team. A native of Killarney, Manitoba, Ganske finished the regular season with five goals and one assist. Ganske had the first multi-point performance of her career on January 14 at No. 7 Robert Morris, scoring two goals, including one while on the power play. Ganske led the Lady Lions in blocked shots during the regular season with 50.
Ganske and the rest of the Lindenwood Lady Lions will take on the Mercyhurst Lakers tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. CT during the quarterfinal round of the CHA tournament from the HarborCenter in Buffalo. The winner of the quarterfinal matchup will advance to Friday's semifinal round.
