The Lindenwood gymnastics team picked up a MIC dual victory on Saturday afternoon in Shreveport, La. The Lady Lions defeated Centenary by scores of 193.850-189.600.

Lindenwood had the highest team score in all four events, and it took first place individually in three of the four events. As a team, the Lady Lions scored a 48.400 or higher in three of the four rotations, including a season-high 48.850 on the vault. That vault score was also the fourth-best in program history.

On the vault,
Kierstin Sokolowski took first overall with a 9.825, and
Katey Oswalt recorded a 9.800. All six gymnasts for the Lady Lions scored a 9.700 or higher on the event.

Sokolowski and
Andavea Alexander both tied for first on the bars with a 9.800 score. Lindenwood took the first four spots in that event, as
Katie Bailey and
Aubree Horn each had a 9.775 score.

On the beam, Emily Millet won her first collegiate event, scoring a 9.850. That mark was her third score over 9.800 on the beam in the last four competitions. Sokolowski finished off a good afternoon with another strong score of 9.775.

Oswalt led the Lady Lions and finished second overall on the floor with a 9.850. Alexander was right behind her teammate with a mark of 9.825.

Lindenwood has now won every dual meet it has participated in this season. It will look to continue that trend on Sunday, March 5, when it hosts Texas Woman's at 1 p.m. at Hyland Arena. The meet will also be Senior Day for the Lady Lions program.
