The Lindenwood women's gymnastics team hit the 194 mark for the second straight competition on Friday evening in Columbia, Mo. at the State of Missouri meet. For the second straight year, the Lady Lions finished second at the competition.

Lindenwood hit 194.000 exactly after finishing with a strong bars rotation. The host, University of Missouri, won the meet with a 196.625, and Southeast Missouri came in third with a 192.600.

In the bars event, the Lady Lions scored a 48.700, tying for the seventh-best bars score in program history. Two Lady Lions had a 9.800 or higher, led by Trystien Charles who scored a 9.850, including a 9.900 from one of the judges. Charles finished fourth overall in the event. Aubree Horn recorded a 9.800, her second bars routine of the season with that score.

The other top highlight of the competition was the beam routine by Lauren Cartmell. In her first performance of the season, she scored a 9.850, which was good for second overall at the event.

On the floor, Rachel Zabawa led the team with a 9.800. She also had the top team score on the vault with a 9.750.

The Lady Lions are now 7-5 on the season. Lindenwood will travel to Ball State on Sunday, Feb. 14, for a meet with Ball State, Kentucky, and Kent State.
