The Lindenwood gymnastics team continues to perform its best at its biggest events. On Friday night in Ames, Iowa, the Lady Lions scored their second-highest score of the season in a meet with Iowa State and North Carolina State.
 
The Lady Lions finished with a score of 194.250. That mark is the eighth-best in program history, and the sixth-highest in a regular season event. Iowa State won the tri-meet with a score of 195.650, and North Carolina State was just able to hold off Lindenwood with a 194.475.
 
Lindenwood scored over 48 in all four events, and set top-10 marks on the vault, bars, and beam. Its top team score came on the vault with a 48.700. It also scored a 48.650 on the bars, a 48.525 on the beam, and a 48.375 on the floor.
 
Valeri Ingui had the top individual routine of the night, scoring a 9.875 on the bars. That mark was the fourth-best in school history for the bars, and was the highest score for any event for a Lady Lion this year.
 
Aubree Horn had one of the team's best all-around nights, leading the team with a 9.800 on the vault and finishing second on the squad with a 9.775 on the bars. 
Rachel Zabawa led the team on the floor with a 9.800, and on the beam with a 9.750. She also scored a 9.750 on the vault.
 
Other top marks included a 9.775 by 
Katey Oswalt on the floor, and a 9.750 on the floor from 
Kayla McMullan.
 
Lindenwood will be in action again next Friday in Columbia, Mo. in its annual meet with the other state of Missouri gymnastics program in Mizzou and Southeast Missouri.
