The Lindenwood women's gymnastics team finished third on Saturday night in a quad meet in Corvallis, Ore. The Lady Lions recorded a team score of 194.125, marking the fifth time this season it has hit the 194 mark.

No. 14 Oregon State won the meet with a 197.075, and San Jose State was second with a 194.675. Lindenwood picked up a big victory over Seattle Pacific in a battle between two of the top three NCAA Division II programs in the country, as Seattle Pacific scored a 193.225.

Lindenwood set a new school record on the vault with a 48.975. That was the second-highest team score for any event in program history.
Kierstin Sokolowski and
Rachel Zabawa both had a 9.825, and
Courtney Heise recorded a 9.800.
Aubree Horn had a 9.775, and
Valeri Ingui recorded a 9.750.

The team's number two event was a 48.750 on the floor. All six gymnasts scored at least a 9.700, led by Sokolowski with a 9.850.
Lauren Cartmell and Ingui both had a 9.750.

On the bars, Lindenwood recorded a 48.550. Heise led the way with a 9.875, the second-best mark in school history. Heise finished in a four-way tie for first overall in the competition. Ingui was second on the team with a 9.725, and
Trystien Charles recorded a 9.700.

The Lady Lions recorded a 47.850 on their final event of the night, the beam.
Hannah Rector led the team with a 9.725, just ahead of Heise who had a 9.700.

In the all-around results, Sokolowski finished fifth with a 38.900, and Ingui was ninth with a 38.300.

Lindenwood will be in action again next Saturday at the MIC Championships. The Lady Lions will be the highest-ranked team heading into the competition.
