The Lindenwood gymnastics won two individual events and the individual all-around title at the Lindenwood Quad Meet on Saturday afternoon at Hyland Arena. The Lady Lions finished third as a team at the competition.

The top highlight of the day came from Kierstin Sokolowski who had a 9.900 on the vault. That score set a school record for the vault, and was also the second 9.900 mark in program history for any event. She finished first overall in the vault competition.

On the bars, Courtney Heise recorded a score of 9.825, which tied for first overall. Her performance help Lindenwood score a 48.650 as a team on the bars, which tied for the best team score in the quad meet.

In the all-around competition, Valeri Ingui took first place with a 39.000, marking the second time in her career that she scored 39 or better. She had a 9.625 on the vault, a 9.775 on the bars and beam, and a 9.825 on the floor.

Rachel Zabawa turned in a good all-around performance, including top-four performances on the beam and floor. She had scores of 9.800 on the beam and 9.850 on the floor. The other 9.800 mark came from Lauren Cartmell who set a career-high with a 9.800 on the floor.

In the team standings, Lindenwood led after two rotations but Eastern Michigan averaged over 49.000 for its last two rotations, and it pulled away with a final score of 195.125. Illinois State edged out Lindenwood with a final score of 194.125. Illinois-Chicago was fourth at the meet with a 191.300.

Lindenwood heads back on the road next week with a trip out east to Providence, R.I. The Lady Lions will take on Brown and Towson at that event.
