For the fourth straight week, a Lindenwood gymnasts has earned MIC Gymnasts of the Week honors.
Kierstin Sokolowski won the award for the second time on Tuesday afternoon.
Sokolowski set Lindenwood's all-around record for the second straight week in the team's dual win over Illinois State. She set a mark of 39.225, which was the highest score by a MIC gymnasts this year. She won the all-around competition in the dual, and also took first place in the vault and floor events.
Sokolowski finished with a score of 9.850 on the vault, a 9.725 on the bars, a 9.775 on the beam, and a 9.875 on the floor. She set a school record on the floor (which was later tied by teammate
Rachel Zabawa), and her vault score was the third-highest in program history.
Her performance led Lindenwood to a narrow team victory over MIC Illinois State. Lindenwood finished with the third-best score in program history, and set a new school record on the floor with a 49.000, the first 49 team score in school history for a single event.
Lindenwood will host a quad meet this Saturday at 4 p.m. with Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago, and Eastern Michigan.
