The Lindenwood Sports Hall of Fame Committee released its 2013 Hall of Fame class today. Three former student-athletes and four teams will be inducted during Lindenwood's 2013 Homecoming Ceremonies.
The student-athletes who will be inducted are Katherine Hannah (women's hockey), Ignacio Novas (men's soccer), and Sandy Siehl (women's basketball and field hockey). The four squads are all national champions in their respective sports. The teams are the 2005-06 roller hockey team, the 2006-07 men's wrestling team, the 2008 Lion Line, and the 2007-08 women's hockey team.
The annual Hall of Fame banquet will take place on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Columns in St. Charles, Mo. The inductees will also be honored the following day at the Homecoming parade and football game.
The Lindenwood Sports Hall of Fame was created in 2007 to honor the University's top student-athletes, coaches, teams, and meritorious service supporters.
2013 Lindenwood Hall of Fame Bios
Katherine Hannah
Katherine Hannah played five seasons for the Lindenwood women's hockey team while it was a member of the ACHA. She was a five-time ACHA All-American and was twice named the ACHA National Player of the Year. In her five seasons, Lindenwood went 133-18-4 and won two ACHA National Championships. She finished in the top-five in the nation in scoring for all five years of her career. Hannah holds 11 Lindenwood records during ACHA play, including holding the career records with 153 goals, 254 assists, 407 points, 24 game-winning goals, and a +286 plus/minus mark.
Ignacio Novas
Ignacio Novas was a four-year letterwinner for the Lindenwood men's soccer team and the leader of the 2004 team, which won the NAIA National Championship. Novas was a four-time first-team all-conference selection and a two-time first-team All-American. In 2004, he was named the tournament MVP after Lindenwood won the national tournament, and he was also named the NAIA National Player of the Year. Novas was a double-figure goal scorer in all four of his seasons, and he recorded over 60 goals in his career.
Sandy Siehl
Sandy Siehl was one of the early women's stars during the modern era of the Lindenwood Athletics Department. Siehl attended Lindenwood from 1967-1971 and contributed much to campus life, including athletics. She was a four-year member of the varsity women's basketball team and averaged over 20 points a game during her senior season. Siehl also lettered in field hockey and once scored six goals in a single game. Siehl also served as the President of the Women's Athletic Association.
2005-06 Roller Hockey Team
The 2005-06 Lindenwood roller hockey team was one of the most dominating collegiate teams in roller hockey history. The Lions finished the season with a perfect 40-0-0 record, and they won the program's fifth straight national championship. At the NCRHA National Championships, Lindenwood won all seven games it played by an average of 7.7 goals a game. In the championship match, the Lions jumped out to a 7-2 lead over Michigan State and won the contest by a final score of 7-5.
Ron Beilsten was the head coach of the 2005-06 roller hockey team.
2006-07 Men's Wrestling
The 2006-07 Lindenwood men's wrestling won the 50th NAIA National Championship with one of the most lopsided victories in NAIA history. The Lions collected 177 points and won the competition by 67 points, the second-largest margin of victory at that time. All 12 Lindenwood wrestlers at nationals earned All-American honors. Four Lindenwood wrestlers reached the championship match, and Jake Dieffenbach and John Salter each won individual NAIA crowns. The Lions finished the season with a perfect 8-0 dual record, and they also won the NAIA National Duals and a NAIA Regional Championship.

2008 Lion Line
The Lindenwood Lion Line dance team won the first national championship in program history in 2008. Lindenwood won the national championship in the Open Hip Hop competition at the UDA National Championships. Lindenwood defeated 10 other programs for the Hip Hop title, including runner-up St. Thomas and two-time defending champions Orange Coast College. Lindenwood also finished fourth out of 13 teams in the Open Dance Competition.

2007-08 Women's Ice Hockey
The Lady Lions ice hockey team won the second ACHA National Championship in program history in 2008 and finished the season with one of its best winning percentages. Lindenwood finished the season with a 36-3-0 record, and won 26 of 27 final games. The Lady Lions scored over seven goals a game and allowed just 1.0 goal a contest. At the national championships, the Lady Lions outscored their opponents 24-1 in pool play and then defeated Michigan State and Massachusetts to reach the finals. Its only close game at nationals came in the finals, but Lindenwood earned a 2-1 win over rival Robert Morris for the championship.
Vince O'Mara was the head coach of the 2007-08 women's hockey team.
