The Lindenwood men's tennis team was defeated Friday by Shorter University in a very competitive contest. Shorter defeated the Lions by a score of 5-4. The loss drops Lindenwood to 3-4 on the season.
The Lions managed to take two of the three doubles matches in the competition, as the numbers two and three doubles teams earned victories.
Lindenwood would drop the first three singles matches of the day before
Yoshikazu Ysa got on the board with a win in two sets, 6-3 and 6-2. Thiago Mastrioanni also won his match by a score of 6-3 and 6-2. The entire meet came down to the number five singles match, where Lindenwood's
Eddy Belhaouane fell 3-6, 7-5, and 6-2 in three sets to his opponent.
The Lions will be back in action on Friday Mar. 8th in Liberty, Mo. when they take on William Jewell College.
