Lady Lions Continue Three-Game Road Stretch At Emporia State

• Lindenwood continues its road trip with a contest on Saturday afternoon against Emporia State.

• This is the first meeting between the two schools.

• Emporia State is fifth overall in the MIAA. They are currently a game behind Truman for fourth place.

• Emporia State is riding a six-game winning streak after defeating Lincoln on Thursday.

• Lindenwood has six games remaining on its schedule. They will return to Hyland Arena on February 16 for senior day against Southwest Baptist.

• Lindenwood will face off against Emporia State on Saturday.

• As of February 4, Julie Hlinak is 18th in the conference in scoring. Sarah Schnieders is 25th.

• Lindenwood continues to improve its mark from the free-throw line. The Lady Lions have moved up to eighth in the conference, making 70.5 percent from the charity stripe.

Marissa Lehnig has recorded the most number of free-throws made in a single game conference-wide after going 15-for-16 from the line against Central Missouri.

• The Lady Lions are tenth in the conference in field-goal percentage. Lindenwood makes 39.9 percent of its shots from the field.

Sarah Schnieders and Meagan Hittle have started in every game they have played in for the Lady Lions this season.

• Lehnig is now the fourth Lindenwood player to average double-digits after recording 13 against Northeastern State.

Julie Hlinak is 35 points away from recording her 500th point.

Sarah Schnieders has cracked the top-10 list for most points scored in a career. Schnieders is tied for ninth alongside Tracey Dames with 1,104 points. Schnieders needs 73 more points to move into the top-five.

Meagan Hittle is leading the team from the charity stripe, making 78.9 percent of her free-throws.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.

• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.

• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

• Lindenwood will continue its three-game road streak by traveling to Central Missouri on February 13. Tip-time in Warrensburg is set for 5:30 p.m.

Last Time Out
• Lindenwood fell on the road to Northeastern State by a score of 87-50.

Julie Hlinak led the Lady Lions with 17 points and six rebounds in the game.

• Lindenwood only recorded five points off of the bench.

• The Lady Lions continued it success from the free-throw line, going 14-for-16 on the evening.

Marissa Lehnig and Meagan Hittle each recorded double-digit points in the contest. Lehnig had 13 while Hittle added 12.

Emporia State Notes
• Under the direction of Jory Collins, the Lady Hornets have a 13-6 overall record and an 8-3 mark in the MIAA.

• The Lady Hornets are coming off of an 85-69 victory at home against the Lincoln Blue Tigers.

• Laura Patrick led all players on the floor in the game against Lincoln with 25 points.

• Patrick is averaging 15.3 points per game while Desiree Wylie is averaging 7.2 rebounds per contest.

• Emporia State is a perfect 8-0 at home.
