Women's Hockey Sweeps Series Versus Robert Morris

The Lindenwood women's ice hockey team swept a three-game exhibition series over the weekend against Robert Morris (Ill.). The Lady Lions won the first two games by identical 4-1 margins, and then they won the final game by a 6-0 score.

In the opener, Robert Morris took an early 1-0 but the Lady Lions tied it before the end of the first period on a goal by Kelsey Talbot. Lindenwood then took control with two goals in the second period with goals from Caitlyn Post and Jordyn Constance. Kendra Broad capped the victory with a third-period score.

Lindenwood outshot Robert Morris by a 58-19 margin. Taylor Fairchild made 18 saves and earned the win in goal. Katie Erickson had two assists on the night.

On Saturday, Lindenwood outshot Robert Morris by a 73-19 margin. The team's first line did all of the offensive damage as Allysson Arcibal scored twice, and Alyssa West and Alison Wickenheiser had the other two goals. Briar Bache earned the win in goal, making 18 saves.

Sunday's contest saw Fairchild make 13 saves on the way to a shutout victory in goal. Lindenwood had 48 shots in the game and spread its goals among six different skaters with Samantha Redick, Wickenheiser, Brett Lobreau, Arcibal, Talbot, and Amy Stober all scoring.
