Men’s Ice Hockey Remains Fourth in ACHA Poll

Men's ice hockey remained fourth in the latest American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 poll.  The Lions received one first place vote and sit behind third place Arizona State which received three first place votes.  Despite two losses earlier this month, Penn State retained the top ranking with Delaware a close second.  The Nittany Lions Icers actually received one less first place vote than the Hens, but stayed ahead of them by a mere two points overall.

After stumbling over Thanksgiving weekend with two straight losses against Oklahoma, Lindenwood has rattled off 10 straight wins including a two-game series sweep against number five ranked Ohio this past weekend.  That improved the Lions record to 21-4 overall and 10-0 in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL).

Lindenwood puts that perfect conference record on the line this weekend as they go on the road for a two-game set against Kent State University January 27-28.  The Golden Flashes are 16-11-1 on the season and ranked 22nd in the ACHA poll.  Game time Friday is at 7:15 p.m. and Saturday's game begins at 8:15 p.m. at the Kent State Ice Arena.
