The Lindenwood Men's Rugby team passed a strong pre-season test as they upset the St. Louis Bombers 21-12 in an exhibition match at Hunter Stadium September 3rd.
In an impressive performance against one of the top club programs in the country, the Lions never trailed. Neither team was able to put any points on the board until Morgan Findlay scored the first try for the Lions at the 33 minute mark. The Bombers answered with their own score two minutes later, but Lindenwood took the lead right back with a Jeremy Chacon try at 37 minutes. Brendan Davis added a try at 52 minutes to seal the victory for the Lions and had three conversions throughout the match to round out scoring for Lindenwood.
The Lions will try to keep the momentum going as they travel to the University of Kansas for the regular season opener September 10th.
