Playoff Week continues for the Lindenwood basketball programs on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Lions will host Avila in a HAAC Tournament Semifinal contest on Friday at 7 p.m. The Lions will host William Jewell in a HAAC Tournament Semifinal game on Saturday at 7 p.m. 1st Financial Credit Union sponsored a limited number of playoff t-shirts that were given away to Lindenwood students earlier this week. Rally towels were also given out courtesy of AT&T Real Yellow Pages.

Both basketball programs are the two seeds in the conference tournaments after remarkable seasons.

Under first-year head coach Tony Francis, the women's team has already improved by 11 wins over last year's squad. The Lady Lions need to either win the conference tournament, or have Evangel win the championship, in order to advance to the national tournament.

The men's team, under second-year head coach Brad Soderberg, had its best regular season in school history with 26 wins. The Lions have already secured a spot in the national tournament in Kansas City, Mo.

The women's championship finals will take place on Monday at 7 p.m., while the men's final is on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Both games will be at the home court of the highest remaining seed.
