The Lindenwood men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic this weekend. The men's team finished 10th out of 35 programs in an 8k competition while the women's team was eighth out of 32 teams in a 5k.
Individually,
Ben McGraw was the top performer, coming in 20th in the men's race. Behind him were
Ethan Stack who finished 48th and
Will Everett coming in 67th place. McGraw completed the race in 26:33 and Stacks mark was 27:22.
Shane Watts,
Taylor Paul, Wes Barger and
David Lindemann all broke 30:00 for the Lions.
The women's team was once again led by
Tanya Chibanda who finished with a mark of 19:05 with a fifth place overall finish. Followed by
Ai Shinohara in 71st place with a time of 20:50.
Courtney Heidorn,
Caitlin Howe and
Jessica Ching were under 22 mintues while Nicole Rotter and
Johanna Mohr completed the race in less than 23 minutes.
The Lindenwood cross-country program will travel to Fayetville, Arizona to compete in the Chile Pepper Festival on Oct. 15.
