The Lindenwood men's and women's cross country team travelled to Fayetteville, Ark. on Saturday to compete against NCAA Division I programs at the Chili Pepper Cross Country Festival hosted by the University of Arkansas. The men's team finished 29th in a 10k run while the women finished 31st in a 6k.

Competition was tough on both sides as neither program was able to place during their respective runs. Ben McGraw placed the highest for the Lions finishing in a time of 33:41.7 followed by Ethan Stack in 34.11.1. Will Everett, Shane Watts and Wes Berger all finished below 38 minutes.

On the women's side, the Lady Lions had several athletes who finished as well. Tanya Chibanda finished in 23:26, Courtney Heidorn recorded a time of 25:26, and Ai Shinohara placed a 26:06 time during the 6k run. Jessica Ching, Nicole Rottler and Caitlin Howe all finished with times under 28 minutes.

The men's and women's cross country program will wrap up their fall season at the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic on Saturday, Oct. 22.
