Lindenwood's MIAA Football Schedules Announced From 2012-2015

The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) announced its football schedules for the next five years on Monday, as well as the format when Lindenwood and four other schools join the conference football schedule in 2012.

In 2012, the MIAA will consist of 16 schools and each program will play an 11-game schedule of exclusively MIAA opponents. Each school has been designated one rival which they will play every season. In addition to that rival, each school will play five home and five away games against a rotating schedule of the remaining MIAA schools.

Lindenwood's rival will be Truman State University. Truman is a founding member of the MIAA and has won a conference record 26 MIAA football championships, with the most recent coming in 1988. The two geographical rivals will meet for the first time on Nov. 10 at Stokes Stadium in Kirksville, Mo.

Lindenwood's first MIAA contest will take place on Sept. 1, 2012 when it travels to Lincoln University. The next weekend, the Lions will have its first home MIAA game against Southwest Baptist.
