Several Lindenwood women's ice hockey players have been selected to represent Team USA at the upcoming 2011 Winter World University Games in Erzurum, Turkey. It marks the first time the U.S. will be sending a women's team to the biannual event.
Lady Lions
Shea Crawford,
Nicole Konsdorf,
Erica Wynn,
Samantha Redick, and
Allysson Arcibal were chosen as part of the 22 player roster.
The roster is comprised of players from collegiate ice hockey teams associated with the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Lindenwood led all schools with five representatives.
Crawford, Konsdorf, and Wynn were members on Lindenwood's national championship team last year. Redick and Arcibal will be freshman this fall.
Lindenwood head coach Vince O'Mara was selected as an assistant coach for Team U.S.A.
The World Games will be held from January 27-February 6, 2011.
