Lindenwood's First Ever Football Blitz Takes Place in St. Charles

The first Lindenwood University Football Blitz took place on Thursday on historic Main Street in St. Charles, Mo. The promotional event raised excitement for the highly anticipated 2010 season.

With the start of the season just a week away, several players, cheerleaders, dancers and even the Lion mascot took to the streets of downtown St. Charles to promote the upcoming season. The group handed out posters, schedules, and window decals to area restaurants and businesses.

Lindenwood begins the season ranked No. 2 in the country and kicks off the 2010 season Thursday night at 6:00 pm in the first weeknight game in school history. The Lions play their home opener against the visiting Evangel Crusaders.

Women's Wrestling
Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision.

Garrett Reeg
Men's Basketball
Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds.
