Six Lindenwood Programs Named NAIA Scholar Teams

Six Lindenwood athletic programs received the NAIA Scholar Team award this week. A team is named to the list if it has a minimum GPA of 3.0 among all varsity student-athletes.

Leading the way for Lindenwood was the softball squad which had a GPA of 3.54. Right behind was the women’s volleyball team which had a GPA of 3.49.

Other teams that received the award were women’s cross country, women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, women’s tennis, and women’s golf.

Garrett Reeg

Men's Basketball

Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds.

Shauna Isbell

Women's Wrestling

Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision.

Lindenwood University Athletics
