Lindenwood University announced today that
Derek Schaub has resigned as men's ice hockey head coach in order to become head coach of the school's men's lacrosse program.
Schaub started the men's ice hockey program at Lindenwood in 2003. Over the last seven years, the Lions have gone 217-57-3. The team has appeared in the last three national championship games and won back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010.
According to Lindenwood Athletic Director
John Creer, a new men's ice hockey head coach will be named in the near future.
