Lindenwood Football Honored In Jefferson City

The Lindenwood Lion football team was honored Tuesday by the Missouri State House of Representatives with a resolution for its best season in school history. Over 60 players and coaches were on the floor of the House of Representatives and were given a standing ovation by the state representatives.
St. Charles representative Joe Smith presented the team with the resolution and was the key to help honor the team.
“I am really proud of this team and their accomplishments,” said Rep. Smith. “They have a good group of players and an excellent coaching staff.”
The Lions were recognized with a resolution by the House of Representatives for being the greatest football team in Lindenwood University history.
“This was a great opportunity for our football team to be honored for its hard work and dedication to the school,” said Head Coach Patrick Ross. “We would like to thank Rep. Smith for bringing us here and it was special that the state of Missouri would recognize our accomplishments.”
