Men's Lacrosse Wins A Pair Of One Goal Games

The Lindenwood men’s lacrosse team won a pair of neutral site games over the weekend in Memphis, Tenn. In wins over Tennessee and Texas A&M, the Lions won by a single goal.

On Friday night in thrilling fashion, the Lions knocked off Tennessee by an 8-7 score. The two teams were tied late in the ballgame when Jordan McKay scored the game-winner with just 16 seconds left.

Saturday, Lindenwood bettered Texas A&M by a 7-6 margin. Andrew Flood made19 saves in goal. Tyler Davis and Sam Spallitta led the offense with two goals apiece.

With the victories, Lindenwood is now 3-3 on the year. The Lions will be in action again next Friday evening versus Colorado.

Garrett Reeg

Men's Basketball

Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds.

Shauna Isbell

Women's Wrestling

Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision.
