Cycling Continues String of Strong Performances
Lindenwood Cycling Photo (2008-2009)
The Lindenwood cycling team has made great strides in recent weeks, and this past weekend the team reeled off another strong performance at the MidWest Collegiate Cycling Conference at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.

In Saturday's road race, the Lions received mixed results as they failed to place a rider in the Top 10. Jose Cuello posted the top finishing time, placing 12th. Nicholas Chevalley was 13th and David Stroot finished 19th.

Sunday's criterium saw the Lions put together their best effort of the spring season. The layout was a six-mile, clockwise, six-turn course. Lindenwood placed four riders in the Top 10. David Norris finished second and Matt Brandt was third. Chevalley placed eighth and Owen Belton finished ninth. With those four finishing in the Top 10, the Lions recorded 197 points toward the team totals, the most of any team in criterium.

Lindenwood will host a MidWest conference race this weekend. The road race will take place at the Daniel Boone Home on Saturday, and the criterium will be Sunday in downtown St. Charles.
