Lions Dispatch of Hannibal-LaGrange In Three Games

The No. 6 Lindenwood men's volleyball team swept Hannibal-LaGrange 30-18, 30-18, 30-26 Tuesday night at the Hyland Performance Arena.

Lindenwood used an 11-1 run in the first game and a 15-4 run in the second to jump out to a two game lead. In the third, the Trojans would control the tempo early, but midway through the set, the Lions surged ahead with a quick spurt. The Trojans would keep it close, but Lindenwood eventually pulled away recording the last three points of the match.

Taylor Morrill led the way with 12 kills. Jack Mitchell and Mike Warren each had eight apiece. Carson Grissinger tallied 25 assists and three aces. Mike Larson added 22 helpers. Mike Emerick logged 13 digs and Andrew Hock chipped in with 12. Matt Schmack and Warren both had four blocks to lead the Lions. Rick Hess added three.

Lindenwood (5-5, 2-1) will travel to face conference opponent Graceland this Friday at 7 p.m.

Garrett  Reeg
Men's Basketball
Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds. 
Shauna Isbell
Women's Wrestling
Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision.
