It was another dominating weekend for the Lindenwood roller hockey team as they won three games by an average margin of 9 ½ goals. Friday night the Lions beat St. Charles Community College, 10-1 and on Saturday they beat Missouri State 13-3 and Missouri-St. Louis, 12-2. Finally, on Sunday the Lions beat Missouri-St. Louis 9-2 to win the regional championship.
On Friday night, the Lions got a stellar start between the pipes from Joe Colmo, stopping all but one shot. Shawn Sullivan led the way for the team with two goals.
Next up for the Lions was a Saturday doubleheader against Missouri State and Missouri-St. Louis. The Lions destroyed the Missouri State Bears 13-3, with help from Sullivan who scored two goals and added three assists.
In the night cap on Saturday night Missouri-St. Louis had no answer to the Lions explosive offense. Leading the way for the Lions was Alex Carroll who scored two goals and added an assist.
With the three wins the Lions improve their record to 20-0 on the season.
