Bowling (Lindenwood Classic)
The Lindenwood bowling program hosted the first tournament in school history last weekend and it was a huge success for both sides. The Lady Lions won the women’s championship, while the men’s team had a squad advance to the championship match.

Lindenwood’s top women’s team qualified second after Saturday’s play and then earned a come-from-behind victory in the title match against McKendree. Three Lady Lions earned all-tournament honors led by Jenny Petzoldt who finished second with a 207.0 average. Jillian McBride was fourth with a 201.83 average, and Darla Ahlert was fifth with a 201.33 average.

On the men’s side, it was also a Lindenwood /McKendree championship match but McKendree took this title with a 2-1 victory. Dean Richards was runner-up with a 220.0 average, and Matt Tod also was named to the all-tournament team after placing fifth with a 206.5 average.
