The Lindenwood women's wrestling team kicked off its 2010-2011 season last weekend with a dual meet against Missouri Valley. The Lady Lions started the season off in winning fashion beating the Vikings 19-15.

Lindenwood would win six out nine matches en route to the win. The dual started off with the Vikings winning the first match but the Lady Lions would be victorious in the next three.

India Walker started the charge with a win by decision in the 51kg match followed by Shauna Isbell and Tanya Kusse also winning by decision. The Vikings would stop the bleeding in the 63 kg contest but the Lady Lions would come right back winning the next three matches.

Rachel Shannon won the 67kg match, Brittnay David was victorious at 72kg and Kendra Lewis would wrap up the win for the Lady Lions beating Jordan Hagerman by decision, 2-0 and 3-0.

Up next for the Lady Lions is a competition in Phoenix, Ariz. Friday.
