The Lions went 5-1-0 on their west coast swing, losing only to Davenport University. The Lions remained ranked #1 in the country after the seventh ranking period…. Lindenwood is averaging 6.3 goals per game offensively, while only surrendering 1.9 goals per game…. Sophomore Chad Boeckman continues to lead the team in points with 57. He has 23 goals and 34 assists on the season…. Junior Cory Spradling continues his torrid scoring streak and his 28 goals leads the team…. Boeckman leads the team with his 34 assists…. Sophomore Adam Krefski leads the team with his 9 power play goals…. Spradling leads the team with his 5 short handed goals…. Krefski leads the team in game winning goals with 6…. Long leads the team with a +/- rating of +53…. Junior Robi Cavallari continues to lead all goaltenders with his 16 wins, a 1.69 GAA, .937 SV% and 2 shutouts…. The Lions have converted on 58 of 174 (33.3%) of power play chances and have killed of 162 of 186 (87.1%) of power play chances against this season…. Lindenwood centers have won 1120 of 1761 (63.6%) of face-offs this season.
Scouting the Golden Flashes:
Kent State is led by senior goaltender Ryan Gregory who has a 3.08 GAA and .890 SV%.... DIII transfer Justin Phenney leads the team in scoring with 51 points on 28 goals and 23 assists…. Junior forward Mike Lepre is second on the team in points with 38…. Junior d-man Josh Martin leads all d-men in scoring with 9 goals and 13 assists.

Lindenwood leads the all-time series 7-0-0 versus Kent State.
Last Time vs. Kent State:
The Lions skated to a 6-0 win over the Golden Flashes. Chris Abbott stopped all 28 shots he faced for the shutout. Cory Spradling paced the offense with two goals.
British Columbia Connection:
The Lions have five players from the province of British Columbia in Canada. Chris Abbott, Carson Hamill, Jake Ebner, Russell LaForest, and Robi Cavallari all hail from the BC area.
Homegrown Talent:
Lindenwood is proud to have 9 players from the local St. Louis area. The list includes: Alex Roth, Lucas Scherer, Cory Spradling, Tim Gardner, Ian Coppersmith, Steve Kowalczyk, Zach Glazer, Grant Gorczyca, and Chad Boeckman.
Lindenwood in National Rankings:
Lindenwood is again ranked #1 overall in the country for the 7th ranking period. The Lions received 31 of 40 first place votes.
Special Teams:
Lindenwood are 58 of 174 on the power play which is a 33.3% success rate. The penalty killing unit killed of 162 of 186 power play chances against. They killed off 87.1% of power play chances against.
ACHA First:
Last season marked the first time that the same school produced the men’s and women’s DI national champions. The men’s program won their first national title, while the women’s team racked up their third title and became the first team ever to win back to back in the women’s division.
All-Time Points:
Junior Jake Ebner moved into second place all-time in points with 190. He is 12 points off the all-time leader Henri St. Arnault.

Senior Tim Gardner is now in the top spot for plus/minus leaders in LU hockey history. He has a +120 rating over the past four seasons.

Sophomore transfer Jake Coyle joins Lindenwood after playing last year for NCAA DIII Utica College. He recorded 13 points in 24 games for Utica.

Injury Update:
Junior forward Ryan Divito and sophomore forward Neeco Belanger are nursing shoulder injuries, but should be in the line-up this weekend…. Freshman Alex Roth had surgery on his quad muscle after taking a hit last weekend at Arizona State. He will be out 2-3 weeks….
Oh Captain, My Captain:
Sophomore defenseman Colin Long has been named captain of the 2009-10 Lions. Senior defenseman Tim Gardner and Junior forward Carson Hamill will serve as alternate captains. Junior forward Cory Spradling is serving as an alternate captain for the injured Carson Hamill.
Up Next:
The Lions welcome CSCHL rivals Illinois to town for an important conference match-up. The two teams will face off at 7 pm on Friday night and 4 pm on Saturday.
