The Lindenwood Lion Line dance team won its third straight national championship over the weekend, capturing another Open Hip Hop title at the Universal Dance Association Collegiate National Championships.
The Lion Line recorded a score of 645 out of a possible 700 in the Hip Hop division. That score was good enough for the program's third straight first-place finish in that event. St. Thomas was runner-up and Avila, Puerto Rico-Bayamon, and St. Cloud State rounded out the top five.
Lindenwood also finished third in the Open Jazz Division after recording a total of 639.5 points in the finals. St. Thomas won that discipline and Orange Coast was the runner-up.
