Six Lions Place at International Skeet World Championship

The Lindenwood clay target shooting team got their season off to a good start at the International Skeet World Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Four Lions finished in the top three in their respective classes and two Lions finished in the top six of the overall.

Robbie Aurbach finished second in the high collegiate class after hitting 97 out of his first 100 clays and 98 out of his final 100. After qualifying for the finals Arabach hit 24 out of 25 in the last round and finished sixth in the overall.

Freshman Cody Reid finished firs in the High Class A with a total of 191 out of 200 targets hit. Tanner Brooks finished third in the same class with a score of 187 out of 200.

In High Class B sophomore Ali Chaing hit a total of 183 out of 200 targets which was good for second place. Miguel Delasa placed second in the High Class C division with a socre of 174 out of 200.

To go along with the Lindenwood student athletes competing and succeeding, head coach Shawn Dulohery participated in the event and finished second overall.

Next up for the shooting team will be the Heartland Grand American trap competition in Ackley, Iowa.

Cory Spradling
Men's Ice Hockey
Cory Spradling was named the tournament MVP for the Lindenwood men's ice hockey as it won its second straight national title. Spradling scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Iowa State in the championshp game. He also scored twice in a 4-0 semifinal victory over Central Oklahoma.
Mandy Dion
Women's Ice Hockey
Mandy Dion helped the Lady Lions ice hockey team win its third straight national championship and was named MVP of the tournament. She scored 11 goals in five games at the national event and had three hat tricks.
