Clay Target Team Dominates at Fall Handicap

This past weekend the Lindenwood Clay Target team competed in the Missouri Fall Handicap event in Linn Creek, Missouri. The Missouri Fall Handicap is one of the largest American trap competitions in the country.

In the 200 championship ladies singles freshman Kambra Brawner was crowned the champion and teammate Kaitlyn Bonn was the runner-up. In the junior division David Mathias was the top shooter with a score of 193 out of 200. Senior Jesse Molstre was also crowned the high all around champion

During the doubles championship Jesse Molstre was the AAA champion and finished third overall and Brawner was also the doubles champion. The success continued for the Lions in the handicap championships, Chris Riley won the 20 yard event, Nick Indelicato won the 23 yard and Brett Pruett was crowned the champion of the 25 yard event.

Next up for the Lions is the Sparta Trap Shoot in Sparta, Illinois on October 10th.

Shauna Isbell
Women's Wrestling
Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision. 
Garrett  Reeg
Men's Basketball
Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds.
