Lindenwood Clay Target Team Continues Recent Success

The Lindenwood University Clay Target team returned from the National Skeet Shooters Association World Championships which was held October 3rd through the 10th, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas.

Freshman Brian Foley was crowned the champions in the .410 caliber event which is one of the toughest events at the competition.

Senior Chris Cook was runner up in the 20 gauge event, while junior Talia Borg finished 3rd place in the women’s doubles championships. Sophomore Wayne Kidd rounded out the individual accomplishments by winning AA Class High Overall.

Lindenwood performed well in the team events as well. Teammates Eric Desatoff, Borg, Pat Stineart, Foley, and Cole Rommel represented Lindenwood by winning several events in the five man team event. The Lions claimed the championship in the five man team 12 gauge, were runners up in the team high overall, 3rd place in the 28 gauge, 3rd in the .410 caliber and placed third in the doubles team event.

Rounding out the team events was the duo of sophomore Cole Rommel and Foley winning the two man team event in the 28 gauge event.

Next up for the Clay Target team is the NSCA Nationals on October 27th in San Antonio, Texas.

Sergio Molina
Men's Swimming and Diving
Sergio Molina won an individual title at the 2010 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championship. He won the 200 breaststroke with a school record of 2:00.69. Molina also came in seventh in the 100 breast.
Sarah Billamosa
Women's Swimming and Diving
Sarah Billamosa won an individual title at the 2010 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championship. She finished first in the 400 IM with a time of 4:32.06. She also finished third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 200 fly.
