Apr. 11, 2008- The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) announced its All-American teams lately and the national champion Lindenwood Lady Lions were well represented.
Kat Hannah led the way by earning the Zoey Harris award, given to the national player of the year. Ashley Boye and Gillian Couture were first-team All-Americans, and Becca Bernet earned honorable mention All-American accolades.
Hannah finished the season with a team-high 87 points. She was second on the team with 37 goals and led the squad with 50 assists. Hannah had a +/- rating of +72, had 10 power play goals and three game-winning scores.
Boye led Lindenwood with 40 points and she also recorded 42 assists and 82 points. She also led the Lady Lions with a +/- rating of +82. She had eight power play goals, three shorthanded goals and two game-winning goals.
Couture was the leading defensiveman on the Lindenwood squad. She had a +/- rating of +65 on the season. She also collected 12 goals, 16 assists and tied for the team-high with five game-winning goals. She helped the Lions defense allow just one goal a game during the year.
Bernet was the top goalkeeper on the team. She played in 31 games and had a 26-3 record, with nine shutouts. She shot 94% of the shots she face and had a 1.07 GAA.
Lindenwood finished the 2007-08 season with a 36-3 overall record and it won its second national championship with a 2-1 win over Robert Morris in the championship game.
