The Lindenwood men's volleyball team opened the 2012 Lindenwood Invitational with a pair of victories on Friday at Hyland Arena. The Lions swept Rust in their opening match of the tournament and then defeated Graceland later in the evening in five sets.

The Lindenwood Lady Lions used a big second half for a come from behind win over the Central State Marauders on Thursday night. The Lady Lions were trailing by as many as 11 in the first half but battled all night and eventually beat the Marauders 82-74 in Wilberforce, Ohio.

Men's basketball player Kramer Soderberg was named to the Capital One Academic All-District First-Team on Thursday. Soderberg, the first men's basketball player at Lindenwood to receive this academic award, was one of six players voted onto the team from the NCAA Division II South Central Region.

Garrett  Reeg
Men's Basketball
Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds. 
Shauna Isbell
Women's Wrestling
Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision.
