The MIAA released its academic award winners for the 2012-13 school year on Monday. A total of 218 Lindenwood student-athletes were named on at least one of the academic lists.
Seventeen Lions and Lady Lions received the MIAA Academic Excellence Award which is given to those who maintain a cumulative GPA of 4.00. Those athletes were:
Colton Moore (Baseball),
Julie Hlinak (Women's Basketball),
Brady Novak (Men's Cross Country/Track and Field),
Jennifer Carter (Women's Cross Country/Track and Field),
Aaryn Edge (Women's Cross Country/Track and Field),
James McDonald (Football),
Greg MacAulay (Men's Golf),
Sydney Hawley (Women's Golf),
Meredith Owen (Women's Track and Field),
Caitlin Crawford (Women's Soccer),
Jordan Gnolfo (Women's Soccer),
Mallory Eitel (Softball),
Kimberly Lake (Softball),
Alexandra Medvedeva (Women's Tennis),
Kristin Burnett (Women's Volleyball),
Taylor Holtmeyer (Women's Volleyball), and
Ashley Treaster (Women's Volleyball).
Ten Lindenwood student-athletes were named MIAA Scholar-Athletes after having a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and earning all-MIAA athletic honors. Those athletes were:
Mike Wilson (Baseball),
Alex Bazzell (Men's Basketball),
Matt Andreolli (Football),
Eric Isacsson (Men's Golf),
Jessica Ecker (Women's Outdoor Track and Field),
Alexandra Newcomb (Softball),
Thiago Mastroianni (Men's Tennis),
Yoshikazu Ysa (Men's Tennis),
Mariona Pinol (Women's Tennis), and
Bailey Cody (Women's Soccer.
Those 17 student-athletes along with 201 other Lindenwood student-athletes were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for achieving a 3.00 or better GPA.
