The women's tennis team fell 4-5 to Principia at home on Saturday. The women are now 6-11 overall this season with just one match remaining.
The doubles team of
Daria Ivanova and
Sarah Sharpe got things started for Lindenwood by winning the number two match 8-2. Down 1-2 entering singles play, the Lady Lions needed four wins but could only manage three. Ivanova won the number three singles match 6-3 and 6-2. Sharpe also continued her successful day with a 6-2 and 6-0 win at number five singles.
Shreeja Karki won the number six singles match 6-4 and 6-4 but it wouldn't be enough.
The women's team wraps up its season on Friday the 19th at home against Concordia.
