The Lindenwood men's tennis team beat Truman State 6-3 on Tuesday in Kirksville, Mo. The win gives the Lions a 2-1 record in MIAA play and a 5-5 overall record.
Andrei Masin took the number one singles match 6-4 and 6-2 to get things rolling for the Lions. Number three singles player Ysa Yoshikazu easily won his match 6-0 and 6-1. Lindenwood also brought home wins in the number five and six singles matches when
Eddy Belhaouane won 8-2 and
Thiago Mastroianni won 6-2 and 6-2, respectively.
The Lions also managed to win two of the three doubles matches. Masin and
Johannes Rabenhorst teamed up to win their doubles match 8-2. Yoshikazu and Belhaouane also won the number three doubles match 8-4.
Lindenwood tennis will be back in action on Friday in a home MIAA match against Nebraska-Kearney at 3:30 p.m.
