Women's hockey goalie Nicole Hensley was named the CHA Rookie of the Week on Monday. She is the second Lady Lion to earn a CHA honor during their first season in the league, and the first to earn the Rookie of the Week award.

Hensley was in goal for 65 minutes during Lindenwood's 1-1 tie with RIT on Sunday afternoon. She made 43 saves in the contest, including 16 in the third period and three in overtime. The only goal that she allowed came on the power play, and she helped hold RIT to just one-of-six on the power play for the contest.

In her freshman season at Lindenwood, Hensley currently has a 3.86 GAA and a .917 save percentage. She is second in the CHA with 498 saves.
