Christian Golder Named Honorable Mention All-American

Lindenwood football player Christian Golder was named a NCAA Division II honorable mention All-American according to the Beyond Sports College Network (BSN).

Golder, a senior defensive back, played in every game for Lindenwood last season. He led the Lions with nine pass breakups and two blocked kicks. He was fourth on the team with 62 total tackles, and had a team-high 44 solo tackles. He recorded 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery.

Golder's biggest play of the season came against Texas A&M-Kingsville when he assisted on a game-saving tackle for loss on a fourth-and-goal play from the one-yard line. Golder recorded a season-high nine tackles against Azusa Pacific and had eight tackles against NCAA Division I South Dakota and NCAA Division II Central Missouri.

Lindenwood finished its transition season last year with an 8-3 record. The Lions begin play in the MIAA next season starting with a Sept. 1 game at Lincoln.
