Lady Lions' Basketball End Their Season Against William Jewell

Cassie Williams played her final game a Lady Lion on Thursday night.

The Lindenwood Lady Lions basketball team traveled to Liberty, Mo.on Thursday night to take on the No. 1 seed in the HAAC postseason tournament, William Jewell. From the opening tip it was all Cardinals as it cruised to a 71-42 win ending the Lady Lions’ season.

It was a rough start for the Lady Lions as they began the game shooting just 15 percent from the field in the first half and trailed the Cardinals, 42-14 at the break.

The second half was much of the same as the Cardinals outscored Lindenwood 30-27 in the final half and won the game, 71-42. The Lady Lions ended the game shooting just 25 percent from the field compared to the Cardinals, 43 percent.  

Christina Edwards came off the bench to lead Lindenwood with 16 points and nine rebounds. In her last game as a Lady Lion, senior Cassie Williams pitched in with seven points and four rebounds.

With the loss the Lady Lions end their season with an overall record of 9-22 and a HAAC record of 7-13.

Shauna Isbell
Women's Wrestling
Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision. 
Garrett  Reeg
Men's Basketball
Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds.
