Storyline

The 2009-10 season isn’t over just yet for the Lady Lion basketball team.

Lindenwood received a second life due to a game that was forfeited earlier in the season. With the win the team is now the eighth seed in the conference tournament after holding the tie breaker over Graceland.

The team will travel to Libery, Missouri to take on the number one seeded William Jewell Cardinals.
The last time the Lady Lions took on the Cardinals in the postseason was in 2006-07 when Jewell won 68-52.

This is the 14th consecutive year that  Lindenwood has played in the HAAC  postseason tournament. That is every year the program has been participating in the conference.

Last Time
The Lady Lions have played William Jewell two times this season and are 0-2.

The first time the two teams met was in St. Charles. William Jewell came out on fire and took a 20 point lead into the locker room. The second half was much of the same as the Cardinals took care of the Lady Lions, 76-43. Lindenwood shot 29 percent from the field and 21 percent from behind the arc. Christina Edwards led the way for the home team with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

To close out the regular season the ladies travelled to Liberty to take on the Cardinal. William Jewell would outscore the Lindenwood 46-24 in the first half and would have four players score in double-figures to help the Cardinal win 98-58 and clinch the first seed in the tournament.

Scouting William Jewell
The Lady Lions will have their hands full against the top seed. The Cardinals have won its last 10 out of 11 games including the last six in a row.

William Jewell is the best defensive team in the HAAC, allowing only 57 points a game. Leading the way for the Cardinals is Hillary Adams who is averaging 15 points a night.

Jill Cress is the head coach of William Jewell and was named conference coach of the year this season.
