The Lindenwood Clay Target Team made a trip to New York for the US Open Skeet Championships this past weekend and it turned out to be a successful one for the Lions.

Jessica Forbes was crowned the overall winner in the women’s division and also finished third in the 28 gauge and .410 bore divisions. Another member of the lady’s side, Talia Borg, would finish runner-up in the doubles division.

On the men’s side of the competition Eric Desatoff was the champion in the 20 gauge division and teammate Chris Cook finished third in the same event.

It was a successful weekend for the Lions at the US Open but it wouldn’t stop there. The Lions also competed at Purdue and won the overall championship. Jesse Molstre, Jenna McLean, Bret Court, Michael Hahn, and William Schmeisser all competed for the Lions.

Molstre won the overall for the men and teammate McLean was the champion for the women’s side.

In Kirville, Texas, Jake Wallace competed at the USA Trap Championship and won the junior division. Wallaca will now travel with Team USA to Munich, Germany for the World Cup.
