Shooting Team Wins International Trap Competition At Nationals
Mar. 19, 2009- The Lindenwood shooting team got off to a good start in search of its sixth straight ACUI National Collegiate Championship. Travis Mears won the men's individual international trap championship and Lindenwood won the team title in that event.

Lindenwood finished by hitting 291 of 300 targets in the team competition for International Trap, 10 more than runner-up Kansas State.

In the men's individual competition in that event, Mears and teammate Jake Wallace tied for first with 121 of 125 targets. Mears then won the shootout for the individual title. Camden Clayton placed sixth with a score of 118.

In the women's individual event, Sara Simpson finished second, Jessica Forbes was fifth, and Alexandra Chang was sixth. Simpson hit 112 targets, Forbes had 106, and Chiang finished with 102.

Day two of the four day event will take place on Friday in San Antonio, Texas.

Shauna Isbell
Women's Wrestling
Shauna Isbell captured the first individual championship for women's wrestling in the 130 pound division at the 2012 Women's College Wrestling Association National Tournament. This was the first women's collegiate wrestling national championship for both Isbell and Lindenwood. She won twice by pin-fall and three times by decision. 
Garrett  Reeg
Men's Basketball
Garrett Reeg helped the Lindenwood men's basketball team go 3-0 last week over Webster, McKendree and Lincoln. Reeg recorded double-figure points in all three games including a 14-point mark against Webster as well as McKendree. In three games, Reeg shot 68 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line while posting 19 total rebounds.
