Lady Lions Win Key Final HAAC Game

Nina Caputa scored the games only goal.
In the final conference game of the year for the Lindenwood Lady Lion soccer team, they beat the Missouri Valley Vikings, 1-0. The win could go a long way for the Lady Lions playing in the HAAC tournament next week.

The Lady Lions and the Vikings played a scoreless first half and in the 61st minute Nina Caputa scored the games only goal.

Lindenwood freshman goalie Jessica Morelli stopped everything the Vikings shot at her and recorded her second shutout of the year.

Up next for the Lady Lions is their final home game of the year Wednesday night against Bethel College at 8:00 p.m.

Devah Leenheer
Synchronized Swimming

Devah Leenheer led the Lindenwood synchronized swimming to a third-place finish at the Canisius Invitational. She finished third in the solo competition and teammed up with Bethany Burton to be second in the duet event.

Brett Thompson
Men's Basketball
Brett Thompson averaged a double-double for the week with 13.5 points and 13.5 rebounds a game. He shot 65 percent from two-point range in the two games and his defense resulted in three blocks versus Evangel and he helped hold Benedictine to 32.8 percent shooting from the field. In the win over Benedictine, Thompson had season-highs with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
